Living East is here to promote all kinds of culture in the UK, be it media or sport. Our aim is to improve awareness of culture in the area and keep people informed as to what is happening and taking place.
If you wish to help promote culture throughout England, in any way at all, please get in touch and we look forward to working with you.
Living East has been set up to promote culture throughout England; be that media, sport, music or indeed anything else which fits under the loose term of 'culture'.
We aim to inform the public as to what cultural happenings are taking place in England, ranging from muscial events, media productions and presentations through to sporting events and tournaments, as well as focussing on the work taking place within local communities in order to make a difference and increase the awareness of goings on.
We welcome anyone who is involved with any aspect of 'culture' within England to get in touch with us and let us know what you are doing! Are you responsible for managing a local community football team? In charge of a local charity division? The producer of a regional media outlet? If so, or if you feel anything you are involved in comes under the category of 'culture' then please get in touch and let us know! You never know, you may even see yourself featured on the website!
How do you define 'media' in a couple of sentences? Is media the newspapers which you pick up on a daily basis? The websites which you visit? The music which you listen to? It is a very difficult term to pin down to just a few words and if you think something fits into the media category then chances are it does!
Living East are pleased to promote all forms of media within England, ranging from locally run websites, through to musical events and local film making groups, as well as just about everything in between!
Media is an important part of every community and something which we feel needs further development throughout the region to raise awareness and participation. However you would describe media, there is no doubting it's importance in this day and age!
Sport is an import part of culture throughout the world and is something which should be accessible to all, be that a young child wishing to join a local football team or an elderly person enjoying a game of squash at the local sports center. Sport does not have to be competitive and is something which should be encouraged within our communities.
We are keen to see a development of all cultural aspects within the region in any way possible and with your help, feel that an increased awareness throughout the communities will result in a cultural development, meaning further investment by council and government bodies and therefore allowing more events and cultural activities to take place within the region, benefiting us all.
